Income Tax Audit (Sec 44AB) in Chennai, Thanjavur, Cuddalore & Ariyalur

Tax audit preparation for businesses and professionals crossing turnover limits — books finalisation, Form 3CA/3CB-3CD and filing support.

Overview

A tax audit is a review of your books by a practising Chartered Accountant, who reports on them in Form 3CA/3CB with the detailed statement in Form 3CD. Missing the tax audit deadline can attract a penalty of up to ₹1,50,000 and slows down your income tax return.

JS Tax Consultants gets your business audit-ready. We finalise your books, reconcile GST returns with your accounts, prepare the Form 3CD particulars and schedules, and coordinate with the auditing Chartered Accountant so the report is uploaded well before the due date. The same team then files your income tax return, so nothing falls through the gaps.

When is a tax audit required?

  • Business turnover above ₹1 crore in the year
  • Business turnover up to ₹10 crore is exempt only if cash receipts and cash payments are each within 5% of the total
  • Professionals with gross receipts above ₹50 lakh
  • Businesses declaring profit below the presumptive rate under Section 44AD when income exceeds the exemption limit
  • Professionals declaring income below 50% under Section 44ADA
  • Thresholds and section numbers are being carried into the Income-tax Act, 2025 — we apply the law in force for your year
